AEO & GEO Services

Infiscroll works on getting brands mentioned inside AI answers (ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews) from ₹20,000 a month. This page states how the result is measured, which is the part the market sells without explaining.

Definitions

What are AEO and GEO?

Answer engine optimisation is the work of getting a business quoted when someone asks a question instead of running a search; generative engine optimisation is the same job aimed specifically at systems that write an answer rather than list links. In practice the two overlap almost entirely, and the four surfaces that matter today are ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews.

The commercial difference from search is worth being precise about. SEO earns a click: someone sees a listing and chooses it. Answer-engine work earns a mention inside somebody else’s answer, where there may be no click at all and the brand is named alongside two or three others. That changes what counts as proof, which is why the measurement section below exists.

The work

What does the work involve?

Four things, and none of them is a trick: making the entity legible, making the data machine-readable, writing answers a model can lift, and being present on the sources those models already read.

Entity clarity comes first. A model needs a stable answer to what the business is, what it does and where it operates, stated the same way across the site, the schema and every profile that mentions it. Contradictions are what make a brand unquotable.

Structured data follows, and it has to describe what a visitor actually sees rather than decorate the page. Schema that disagrees with the visible content is worse than none.

Answer-format content means passages that stand on their own: a question, a direct answer in the first sentence, and enough context in that passage that lifting it out of the page loses nothing. Most business copy fails this because it explains before it answers.

Presence on the sources engines read is the part usually sold separately. Across every commercial search we captured in Pune this month, directories, round-up articles and profile pages held a large share of page one, and the AI answers cite that same kind of source. Being listed and reviewed in those places is part of this work rather than an upsell, and it overlaps directly with local SEO.

Measurement

How do you know whether it worked?

By running a fixed set of buyer questions across the answer engines on a schedule, and recording whether the brand appears, in what context, and alongside whom. The prompt set is agreed at the start, typically 20 to 40 questions a real customer would ask, and the same set is re-run each month so the comparison means something.

Each run records three things: whether the brand was named, what it was named as (the maker of a product, an option among several, or the source of a fact), and which competitors appeared beside it. A brand cited once in twenty answers has a different problem from one cited in twelve but always in third place.

It is worth knowing what the platforms themselves say about all this. According to Google’s Search Central guidance on performing well in its AI experiences, the route in is to meet the ordinary technical requirements for Google Search: the same requirements cover the AI formats. There is no AI-specific submission, setting or standard to comply with, and any agency selling one is selling something that does not exist.

Two limits belong in the same breath as the numbers, because they decide how those numbers should be read. Answers vary between runs and between users, so what is being tracked is a trend across a fixed prompt set, not a ranking. And a single screenshot proves nothing: the same question asked twice can return different brands. That is also why this page shows no citation screenshots of its own: it would be evidence of nothing, and easy to fake.

This measurement runs from the first month, before any changes are made, so there is a baseline to argue with later. Our process sets out the stages around it.

Straight answer

What can and cannot be promised?

Nobody controls what a language model says, so no agency can promise a citation, a place in an AI Overview, or a share of answers. The systems retrain, re-crawl and re-rank on their own schedules, and two people asking the same question can get different brands.

This is the same position our SEO page takes on ranking guarantees, for the same reason and with the same evidence behind it. What is committed instead is the work, the measurement cadence, and a report that shows the prompt set and what it returned, including the months it did not move.

Cost

What does AEO and GEO cost in Pune?

₹20,000 a month, with a ₹20,000 one-time setup, as published on our pricing page. None of the pages ranking for this service publishes a figure at all, which makes comparing quotes unusually hard for a buyer.

The setup covers the front-loaded work: the entity and schema pass across the site, the answer-format rewrite of the pages that carry commercial questions, and the baseline measurement run that everything afterwards is compared against. Without that baseline, later results are assertions.

On timing, answer engines re-crawl and retrain on schedules nobody outside them controls, so movement is measured in months rather than weeks and cannot be promised for a given date. The engagement runs month to month, billed monthly in advance, and either side may end it on 30 days’ written notice, as published in our terms.

FAQ

AEO & GEO: questions answered

Six questions come up on almost every enquiry: how AEO and GEO differ from SEO, how a brand gets cited by ChatGPT, whether AI Overviews can be guaranteed, how citations are measured, whether traditional SEO is still needed, and how long it takes. The answers below are the ones we give on the call.

What is the difference between AEO, GEO and SEO?

SEO ranks a page in Google's results; AEO optimises you to be the cited answer in snippets, People Also Ask and AI Overviews; GEO optimises you to be cited by generative AI like ChatGPT and Perplexity.

How do I get my brand cited by ChatGPT?

By being legible and quotable: one consistent statement of what the business is and does, schema that matches the visible page, self-contained answers a model can lift, and presence on the directories and round-ups those models already read. There is no submission form and no shortcut.

Can you get me into Google AI Overviews?

No. Nobody controls what a language model says, so no agency can promise a citation, a place in an AI Overview or a share of answers. The systems retrain and re-crawl on their own schedules. What is committed is the work, the measurement cadence and a report showing the prompt set and what it returned.

How do you measure AI citations?

A fixed set of 20 to 40 buyer questions is run across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews on a schedule, recording whether the brand appears, in what context, and alongside whom. Answers vary between runs, so it is a trend across a fixed prompt set rather than a ranking, and a single screenshot proves nothing.

Do I still need traditional SEO?

Yes. AEO/GEO builds on a strong SEO foundation (they work together, not instead of each other.

How long does AEO/GEO take?

Months rather than weeks, and not on a promised date) answer engines re-crawl and retrain on schedules nobody outside them controls. The baseline measurement run in month one is what later months are compared against.

Want AI to recommend your brand?

Three things make a first message useful: the questions you want to be the answer to, the brands you are compared against today, and whether anyone has ever checked what the engines currently say about you.
